About this course

Learners develop personal ceramic projects while refining techniques in hand-building, throwing, decoration, glazing and on-glaze work. The tutor demonstrates methods suited to the group’s needs and provides guidance through individual and group discussions. The course also considers historical and contemporary ceramic practice through slideshows and contextual reference material. Learners are encouraged to share their practice, assess their work and solve technical problems as they develop a more considered personal and professional approach.
