About this course
The course examines how computers, mobile devices and software are installed, configured, maintained and troubleshot. Topics include PC assembly, advanced hardware, networking, Windows and other operating systems, printers, cloud computing, virtualisation, security and remote access technologies. It also introduces newer areas such as IoT devices, mobile connectivity, wireless mesh networks and scripting basics. Assessment includes chapter tests, hands-on skills examinations and a final theory exam. The course can lead to the Cisco IT Essentials certificate, with the option of taking the external CompTIA A+ examination separately.
