City Lit Pro: Adobe Creative Cloud intensive stage 1

About this course

The course develops a connected print workflow across three Adobe applications. Participants use Photoshop to adjust, retouch and compose pixel-based images; Illustrator to create shapes, typography, icons and logos; and InDesign to produce single- and multi-page layouts combining text and images. Teaching combines demonstrations, short lectures, workshops and practical exercises. The course also covers moving work between the applications, using colour and preparing finished documents for print.

Is this course right for you?

The course is intended for learners developing beyond fundamental computer skills rather than those new to using computers. No previous knowledge of the three Adobe applications is required, but participants should be comfortable with a mouse and keyboard, file management and basic computer tasks. The course includes group discussion, demonstrations and practical work, with preparation and homework strongly encouraged.

• Some awareness of design for print or another art and design practice would be useful
• Includes group discussion alongside individual practical exercises
