About this course
The course uses rehearsals, discussion and exercises to study several works in different musical styles. Learners examine how tuning, balance, articulation, dynamic control and interpretation respond to the demands of each piece, adapting their ensemble technique to the repertoire. The selected works are prepared for performance at the end of term, giving the group a structured focus for its rehearsal work.

Is this course right for you?
This advanced course is intended for wind players with a playing standard of at least Grade 5 and confident sight-reading skills. Participation involves rehearsing as part of an ensemble, following written and verbal instructions in English, contributing to class discussions and practising parts independently between classes.

- Learners need to follow instructions in English and engage in discussions
