Coding in Python – Intermediate

About this course

This course extends existing Python knowledge towards intermediate programming. Participants work with data types and conditional statements in greater depth, explore windowing applications, and import and manipulate data held in databases. Teaching includes writing further Python programs, with homework and progress monitoring in class. The course is intended for learners interested in software development or applying Python to their current role.

Is this course right for you?

The course is designed for learners who have completed an introductory Python course or can already use data types, variables, built-in functions and conditionals to make simple programs. Good computer literacy is essential. It is intended for people developing towards software work or applying Python in their current role.

• Learners must be aged 19 or over on 31 August before the course starts
• Homework forms part of the course
• Progress is monitored during class
