About this course
The course begins by considering artists who use collage and mixed media, then moves into experiments with drawing, paint and mono-printing. Participants create varied paper surfaces using contrasts of line and tone before cutting, rejoining and combining them into collages. Teaching includes presentations, demonstrations, group discussion and individual guidance. The course also considers surface, scale, paper edges and paper qualities, with time for reflection on individual work and creative decisions.
