About this course
Participants examine colour theory, texture, surface, scale and paper qualities through guided projects that develop into individual compositions. The course combines collage with quick observational and imaginative drawing, monoprinting on paper, and experimental ways of folding, tearing, weaving and sewing papers. Teaching includes short presentations, demonstrations, practical activities, group discussion and individual tuition. Contemporary artists’ work is used as a reference, while sketchbook work and reflection support the development of ideas from different sources and responses to given themes.
