About this course
The course examines colour relationships, including hues, tones, tints, shades, colour wheels, colour mixing and palette structures such as monochrome, analogous, triadic and complementary schemes. It also considers colour’s sensory, cultural and commercial associations across art, design, fashion, advertising and branding. Participants apply these ideas through traditional media, Adobe colour tools, personalised colour mind maps and mood boards. Teaching combines presentations, demonstrations, practical work, individual and group tutoring, and discussion, with possible extension activities outside class.
