About this course

The course develops practical computer skills through demonstrations, paired and group activities, video tutorials, independent work and homework. Topics include organising files and folders, using keyboard shortcuts, entering and formatting data in Microsoft Excel, creating diagrams and PDFs with Draw.io, and applying online research, safety and privacy practices. It also introduces artificial intelligence and prompting for everyday tasks. Learners identify their aims with the tutor and receive individual feedback during the course, with opportunities to share their work at the end.
