Computerised accounting for business: Xero

About this course

The course introduces Xero’s cloud-based accounting tools through real-world scenarios and interactive exercises. Participants practise setting up company accounts, recording customer and supplier transactions, managing receipts and payments, issuing invoices, tracking expenses and reconciling bank activity. Teaching focuses on applying the software to routine accounting tasks, including the use of automation features and the production of financial reports. Assessment takes place throughout the course through practical online assessments and written tasks.

Is this course right for you?

The course is intended for business owners, bookkeepers and accounting professionals who are new to Xero. The Beginner level indicates an introductory focus on the software, while participants will need basic computer literacy and familiarity with Windows and web browsers.

• Basic computer literacy is required.
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems and web browsers is needed.
• A general understanding of business and accounting concepts is helpful but not mandatory.
