About this course

Classes introduce Contact Improvisation as an acrobatic movement practice and performance art. Learners investigate how to coordinate movement with another body and the surrounding environment, both together and independently. Sessions focus on controlling weight shifts and developing flow through movement involving rolls, inversions and touch. The practice also explores whole-body connectivity, strength and fluidity, with skills that can transfer to other acrobatic disciplines.
