About this course

The course centres on expression and performance through a short contemporary dance choreography, which participants learn and rehearse across the term. Guided improvisation within the set material allows individual choices in timing, direction and movement quality. Sessions also address musicality, focus and projection, alongside group awareness of spacing and formations. The teaching combines structured rehearsal with opportunities to share work informally, allowing participants to explore performing both set movement and personalised variations.
