About this course
Participants develop jewellery-making skills through a series of projects, including a cube-shaped pendant, a beaded chain, a crystal and seed-bead bracelet, and bead flowers for a brooch. The course also covers connecting wire to jewellery pieces using pins, recognising basic tools and equipment, and applying health and safety rules. A personalised learning plan is used to document and assess each learner’s progression.

Is this course right for you?
The course is labelled All Levels and is intended for learners with a range of starting points. Participation involves making several jewellery pieces, following studio health and safety guidance, and working through a personalised learning plan. Learners must be aged 19 or over on 31 August before the course starts.

Before you go
- Basic materials are covered by the course fee, but learners may need to purchase additional materials for their chosen work.
- Learners should bring a notebook, pencil and apron.
- Some tools can be borrowed, although learners are advised to build their own collection with guidance from the tutor.
