Contemporary mosaics: explore traditional and modern techniques

About this course

Participants explore contemporary mosaic practice through demonstrations, guided exercises, practical projects and individual feedback. The course covers design, composition, andamento, surface and finish, with learners working through both direct and indirect mosaic methods. Sessions introduce techniques progressively and draw on artists’ practices, alongside group discussion, peer support and reflection. Towards the end, participants develop a personal project, taking greater ownership of their ideas and practical work.
