The course focuses on making a quality couture tailored garment, with practical work centred on the stages of couture garment production. Participants develop a reference file alongside their garment, recording the processes covered through written notes and illustrations.

The course is intended for improvers with experienced sewing skills who want to work at the high end of fashion making. Previous experience in hand sewing, machine sewing, tailoring and pattern use is expected, so it is aimed at learners beyond the fundamentals.
