About this course

The course introduces core creative writing techniques through tutor-led input, classroom discussion and feedback on weekly assignments. Learners work on story structure, character development, scene-setting and dialogue, while exploring ways to find ideas and approach research. Sessions also consider how to engage readers, build a portfolio and explore publishing options. A short writing exercise in the first class provides a starting point for discussion, and learners can share their work and progress during the course.
