About this course
Participants develop an early-stage project such as a novel, screenplay, television pilot or stage play. The course covers plot, structure, narrative, style, craft and storytelling principles, with writing prompts and practical exercises used to generate and refine material. Teaching combines tutor notes, one-to-one guidance and discussion with fellow writers. Participants share work for constructive feedback and may produce a first chapter or scene as part of a longer piece.
