About this course
The course combines practical workshops, guided writing time, individual feedback and a one-to-one tutorial. Participants work across playwriting, screenwriting, writing for children, prose and poetry while developing an original piece of writing. Sessions examine story structure, character, dialogue, perspective, tense, description and imagery, alongside editing, critical thinking and insight into writing industries. Learners have opportunities to share selected work in a group setting and use feedback to revise and strengthen their drafts.

Is this course right for you?
The course is intended for complete beginners as well as writers with prior experience. Participation combines individual writing, tutor feedback and group discussion, with opportunities to share work but no pressure to do so. Learners can use the guided writing time to develop either a new idea or an existing project.
