Current affairs: economics discussion forum

About this course

Each session considers economic issues currently in the news, with topics potentially ranging from inflation, debt and public spending to globalisation, green economics, markets and economic policy. Economic theory is used to examine current events and their wider context. Teaching combines an introductory presentation with relevant media readings, video or slides, followed by substantial group discussion. As the course develops, participants are encouraged to raise questions, shape discussions and suggest topics for future sessions.

Is this course right for you?

The course is suitable for learners at all levels and does not require previous knowledge of economics.
