About this course
The course develops linocuts from initial sketches, with attention to cutting marks, line, tone and texture in monochromatic printing. It then introduces three-colour reduction printing, multiple-block registration and the Punktowego dot technique. Experimental work includes caustic etching and resist methods such as hot-wax drawing with a tjanting tool. Teaching combines practical demonstrations, equipment instruction and individual tuition in a workshop setting. Participants will use both hand burnishing with a baren and a relief press, while reflecting on their own work during the course.
