Da Vinci Resolve video editing: beginners' weekend intensive

About this course

The course introduces DaVinci Resolve’s interface and the main stages of editing moving-image footage. Participants work with professionally shot material to import clips with audio, create insert and overlay edits, arrange sequences, manage sound and export a finished project in a suitable format. The course also covers A/B rolls, overlays and narrative sequencing concepts. Teaching combines short lectures, demonstrations, workshops, tutorials and individual or group assistance. Assignments, online handouts and peer interaction through Google Classroom form part of the learning activities.

The course is designed for complete beginners, including learners new to video editing software. Basic computer literacy is important. Experience with other editing programmes may be advantageous, while the course includes both group activities and individual assistance.
