About this course
The course introduces key data science concepts, including structured and unstructured data, databases and big data, before exploring Python-based analysis. Participants work with Pandas for data manipulation and use Matplotlib and Seaborn to visualise findings. The machine learning component covers fundamental concepts and the use of Scikit-Learn and TensorFlow to create models. Teaching combines practical activities with a Personal Learning Plan, allowing the course to address individual learning needs.
What you'll learn
- Apply Python to basic data science tasks
- Manipulate datasets using Pandas
- Create data visualisations with Matplotlib and Seaborn
- Use statistical methods to analyse data
- Build introductory machine learning models with Scikit-Learn and TensorFlow
Is this course right for you?
The course is intended for improver-level learners rather than complete newcomers to IT. Participants need a basic understanding of programming, preferably in Python, and must be able to use a computer.
