Design your own garden I: planning and layout

About this course

The course introduces the principles used to organise a garden, including form, function, geometry and different approaches from formal to contemporary design. Participants will measure and analyse a site, develop a function plan and produce a garden layout at a scale of 1:50. They will also research design inspiration, compile a mood board and investigate hard landscaping materials. Teaching combines short lectures, demonstrations, workshops, practical exercises, tutorials, handouts and group and individual assistance.

Is this course right for you?
