Design Your Own Silver Ring with The Ringsmiths in London Bridge

About this course

Participants learn the basics of the lost wax process before developing an individual ring design through sketching and wax carving. The workshop covers ways to shape a comfortable ring, introduces relevant tools and techniques, and uses samples and images as design references. Once the carving is complete, participants are shown how to finish the wax model and prepare it for casting. The class includes a cocktail and focuses on creating a three-dimensional ring design rather than working from silver wire or sheet.

Before you go

• The completed wax carving is cast, finished and polished by The Ringsmiths in recycled silver.
• The finished ring is available for collection or posting around 4 to 5 weeks after the class.
• Optional engraving, gold plating, stone setting and casting in solid gold can be requested after the workshop.
