Designing for Surface Decoration Short Course

About this course

Participants explore how ideas and research can be developed into finished artwork for surface-decorated products. The course focuses on refining hand drawing and painting while considering pattern and surface decoration across both two-dimensional and three-dimensional forms. Work may be developed for artefacts including textiles, ceramics and wrapping paper, taking a project from initial concepts through to completed designs.
