About this course
The course examines how sequencing, panels, page layouts, captions, direct speech and sound effects can be combined to tell longer stories. Participants research graphic-novel history, contemporary movements and styles, then develop and realise a project in response to a brief using drawing, painting, mixed media and Adobe Creative Cloud. Teaching combines presentations, demonstrations, practical work, individual and group tutoring, and group discussion. Feedback is used to review and refine work, alongside consideration of graphic design applications in print and digital formats.
