About this course
The course introduces digital embroidery through an opening lecture on artists and designers working with the medium, followed by demonstrations and guided software exercises. Learners digitise their own designs and produce stitched samples using techniques including appliqué, reverse appliqué, cut-out, puffy foam, wadding and lace work. The programme also covers how embroidery designs can be prepared for production and outsourced. Depending on the time available, participants may stitch several of their designs.
