About this course

This introductory session combines composition guidance with selected technical exercises. Participants explore ways to frame more engaging images, review basic camera care, and use fast shutter-speed exercises to see how shutter speed affects photographs. The session also compares wide and long lenses, focusing on how focal length can be used creatively. The course provides an introduction to working with a digital camera beyond its simplest settings, with feedback on participants’ images and suggestions for further development. Manual mode, ISO, aperture and shutter speed are not covered in full.
