About this course
Learners build foundational skills through step-by-step guidance, practical activities and repetition. Topics include using a computer, laptop or touchscreen, operating a mouse and keyboard, opening programmes, recognising common menus and symbols, and managing files. The course also covers searching online, using internet services safely, introductory email and online communication, and applying digital skills to everyday situations. Progress is demonstrated through a portfolio of evidence linked to personalised learning goals.
