About this course
The course extends introductory knowledge across Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. In Word, learners work with text and paragraph formatting, tables, graphics, page layouts, headers, footers, templates and styles. PowerPoint activities cover slide themes and layouts, multimedia, animations, transitions, speaker notes and rehearsal techniques. Excel work includes formatting tables and cells, sorting and filtering data, using multiple worksheets, applying formulas and functions, and creating charts and graphs. Learning is supported by a Personal Learning Plan, practical activities and assessed outputs.
What you'll learn
- Format Word documents using text, paragraph, table, page layout, header, footer, template and style features
- Create PowerPoint presentations using themes, layouts, multimedia, animations, transitions and speaker notes
- Organise Excel data across tables, cells and multiple worksheets using sorting and filtering
- Apply Excel formulas and functions to perform calculations
- Produce charts and graphs from spreadsheet data
Is this course right for you?
The course is for women aged over 19 who have some prior experience with these applications. Learners should already be able to set up documents, save files, and enter text and images. The Beginner level indicates an early stage of study, but this course is intended to build beyond introductory skills.
