About this course
The course uses drawing the head as a basis for investigating expression and the effects of colour and line. Learners are encouraged to experiment with different drawing media and approaches, considering how marks can describe depth and shade. The course is open to artists, creatives and image-makers at all levels, including beginners.

Before you go
- Easels, drawing boards, charcoal, newsprint and masking tape are provided in the studio.
- Cartridge and watercolour paper are provided in the studio.
- Learners are encouraged to bring additional materials for personal use, such as drawing pencils, Conté crayons, pastels, ink pens, coloured pencils, erasers, a pencil sharpener and a sketchbook.
