About this course
The course explores cartoon drawing through presentations, demonstrations, practical work, individual and group tutoring, and discussion. Participants develop characters using expressive faces, bodies and poses, then create simple backgrounds that support a visual narrative. The course also examines how to sequence images into a comic strip, with attention to page layout, panels, framing and text. Reflection on individual work forms part of the learning process, and additional activities may be set for completion outside class hours.

Is this course right for you?
The course is intended for beginner and intermediate learners, covering foundational cartoon-drawing and comic-making techniques. Teaching combines demonstrations, practical activity, individual and group tutoring, and discussion. Learners need sufficient English to follow spoken and written instructions, demonstrations and safety information, contribute to group discussions, and make short notes.
