About this course
The course introduces drawing through experimental mark-making, observation and representation of simple object forms. Participants investigate how light affects basic forms, describe tonal values from light to dark, and explore positive and negative space. Teaching combines practical studio work with short demonstrations, one-to-one tutoring and group discussion. Drawing media are used to examine contrasts of shape and tone and to structure simple compositions.
