About this course

Participants develop foundational drawing skills through structured exercises focused on line, shape, proportion, tone and simple composition. Sessions combine presentations, demonstrations, individual practice, group discussion, peer feedback and one-to-one guidance. Learners observe and record simple objects, produce a series of drawing studies and reflect on their work as their techniques develop. Toward the end of the course, there is time to work on a personal project.

Is this course right for you?

The course is designed for complete beginners and people returning to drawing, with no prior experience needed. Participation combines individual drawing practice with demonstrations, guided exercises, group discussion, peer feedback and reflection. Learners are guided step by step and can develop at their own pace.

• Classes include up to 14 learners
• No work outside class is required, although optional homework may be suggested

Before you go

• There is no need to buy materials before the first session.
• Shared equipment and teaching resources are available. Learners who wish to buy their own materials can receive recommendations from the tutor.
