Drawing for Mindfulness

About this course

The course introduces drawing through a mixture of technical exploration and mindful practice. Participants work with mark-making, pattern, colour, composition, space, shading, and the depiction of light and shadow. Exercises include drawing from observation and imagination, with opportunities to use drawing as a form of expression and meditation. Meditation, music and poetry are incorporated into the sessions, and feedback is provided throughout. The emphasis is on exploring drawing techniques while working in a relaxed, reflective way.
