About this course

Learners explore buildings in Richmond through on-site observation, drawing and painting, focusing on shape, rhythm, tone, texture, light and atmosphere rather than precise architectural representation. The course introduces surface preparation, collage and layered mark-making as ways to build expressive architectural images and a sense of place. Progress is tracked through Personal Learning Plans, written notes and regular discussions with the tutor, allowing learners to reflect on their developing practice.
