Drawing & Painting Mixed Media (13-17yrs)

About this course

Participants develop a portfolio through drawing studies, painting projects and experimental mixed-media work. Drawing activities focus on observing and interpreting images and objects, while painting projects investigate chosen themes on paper or canvas. The course introduces different approaches using materials such as pencils, charcoal and brushes, alongside methods for preparing surfaces. Learners also examine composition, considering how separate elements can be arranged into a coherent painting. Guidance is tailored to individual subject matter and artistic aims, and the work may extend or enhance existing GCSE or A Level coursework.
