About this course

Learners develop hand and foot technique for contemporary pop, rock, jazz and Latin drumming. Sessions combine verbal instruction, demonstrations, group practice, individual work, discussions and question-and-answer activities.

• Develop timekeeping with and without a click or backing track
• Apply basic hand and foot techniques on the drum kit
• Maintain a wider range of grooves with consistency
• Use a selection of basic drumming rudiments

• Perform in front of the class

Is this course right for you?

The course is intended for improver-level players with approximately a term's experience rather than complete beginners. Participation includes practising both individually and as part of the group, contributing to discussions and performing in front of the class.
