About this course

The course examines how drypoint needles and roulettes can produce varied lines and tones, alongside the properties of different plate materials and approaches to intaglio printmaking. Participants develop imagery on a plate, prepare paper, and test multiple impressions using different inking and wiping methods. Teaching combines an artist-focused talk, discussion of example prints, practical demonstrations and individual application. Learners receive one-to-one guidance in a small class and have time to use the etching press for their prints.
