What Elementary (A2) Dutch means

At A2 Dutch, learners can handle simple routine exchanges and describe familiar aspects of everyday life.

  • Describe your routine

Meestal ga ik met de bus naar mijn werk en kom ik om zes uur thuis.

I normally go to work by bus and return home at six.

  • Make a simple plan

Wil je zaterdagmiddag naar de bioscoop?

Would you like to go to the cinema on Saturday afternoon?

  • Talk about the recent past

Gisteren heb ik met vrienden gegeten en daarna zijn we gaan wandelen.

Yesterday I had dinner with friends and then we went for a walk.

These are general examples of language use at this level, not a description of any individual course syllabus.
