About this course

The course develops written English through transactional formats including emails, letters, essays, articles, reports and forms. Learners practise planning, organising, drafting and proofreading, while extending their vocabulary and adapting communication for formal and informal situations. Teaching combines classroom instruction with activities, supported by online learning materials for study outside class. Progress is assessed through a tutor-marked folder of work and a Personal Learning Plan, which are used to develop writing and general English skills.
