About this course

The course focuses on applying maths to everyday financial situations. Participants practise calculating totals and change, creating simple budgets, comparing prices and identifying value when shopping. They also work with numbers, money, tables, receipts and price lists used in daily life. Alongside these activities, the course develops vocabulary for discussing money and maths, including conversations that may help participants support their child with school maths. Learning takes place through tutor-supported practice based on household and family contexts.
