About this course

The course introduces foundational English through everyday situations and family or community communication. Learners practise reading signs and short texts, writing alphabet letters, forming simple words and sentences, and giving personal information in speech and writing. Activities also cover numbers, daily routines, likes and dislikes, and planning simple journeys using postcodes and Google Maps. Tutor guidance is provided while learners work at their own pace.

What you'll learn

• Read familiar signs and simple everyday texts
• Write the letters of the alphabet and form basic words and sentences
• Give basic personal information in speaking and writing
• Recognise numbers, count to 100 and write numbers from one to twenty in words
• Describe daily routines and likes or dislikes using the simple present tense
