About this course
The course develops English for employment through topics including job searches, workplace communication, working with colleagues, and employee rights and responsibilities. Learners practise communicating information, answering questions, describing themselves and identifying suitable roles in familiar work-related situations. Activities include discussions and shared tasks, with learners considering their role, asking for help and describing workplace expectations such as attendance and standards. Work produced during the course is assessed against the Ascentis Skills for Employment criteria and contributes to a portfolio.
