ESOL: communication for work and everyday situations (entry 3 Ascentis Skills for Employment)

About this course

Learners practise communicating in workplace contexts, selecting suitable methods for different purposes and discussing employee rights and responsibilities. The course also covers researching job opportunities, reviewing personal skills and interests, and presenting relevant information in applications and interviews. Participants plan and complete a shared task, explain their responsibilities and reflect on the outcome. Their work is assessed against the Ascentis Skills for Employment criteria and compiled into a portfolio that can evidence their skills for employers and training providers.
