About this course

This workshop examines how to structure effective ESOL conversation clubs, including planning speaking activities, supporting participation across different language levels and adapting sessions for varied community settings. It also covers group dynamics, common challenges and the use of simple, low-preparation resources based on real-life themes. Teaching combines interactive activities, group discussion and practical demonstrations. Participants take part in sample conversation activities and consider how to apply them in their own settings. Learning is supported through participation and discussion rather than formal assessment.
