About this course
The course centres on talking and writing about personal background, including year and place of birth, country of origin and previous experiences. Learners use simple English to describe places as villages, towns or cities, and to use basic adjectives such as “big”, “small” and “busy”. Activities cover reading, writing, speaking and listening in everyday situations, including answering straightforward questions about life and country of origin. Learners also practise locating their country on a world map.
