About this course

The course uses topics including fairness, equality, women’s rights, leadership, safety and local community concerns as a basis for English practice. Participants discuss issues, share experiences, express agreement or disagreement and give advice using simple language and modal verbs. They also work with real texts, such as petitions and articles, identifying key ideas before producing short persuasive writing, including emails and posters.

Is this course right for you?

This course is designed for women studying English at Beginner (A1) level. It involves sharing experiences, discussing issues and taking part in reading and writing activities, with opportunities to practise expressing ideas in English.
