About this course

This ESOL course develops spoken English through conversations about fairness, equality, women’s rights, leadership, safety and local community concerns. Learners practise expressing opinions, agreeing and disagreeing, describing personal experiences, and offering advice or suggestions using modal verbs. Speaking activities are combined with literacy work. Participants read real-world texts such as petitions and articles to identify key ideas, then write short persuasive pieces including emails and posters.
