A beginner course covering essential computer use, Microsoft Office documents, spreadsheets and data storage through guided step-by-step teaching.

About this course

Learners develop essential computer skills through guided activities using Microsoft Office tools. Topics include creating and editing documents, formatting spreadsheets, organising information in tables, using the Quick Access Toolbar, and saving files to OneDrive and Dropbox. They also practise adding headers and footers, inserting page breaks, changing page orientation and customising documents. Teaching combines individual practical tasks with class discussions and activities in pairs or small groups. Lessons use real-life digital tasks and clear explanations, with tip sheets and guides provided for further practice.
