About this course

This qualification-based course introduces essential digital skills through tutor-led demonstrations, walkthroughs and practical activities. Learners practise navigating digital interfaces, creating, saving and printing documents, and using Microsoft 365 tools for editing and formatting. Activities include spellcheck, cut and paste, inserting images, designing posters and producing a simple digital document such as a personal budget sheet. Assessment is based on a portfolio of digital tasks, supported by worksheets, projects, tutor observation and feedback. Learners also examine how information is presented in different documents and contribute to planning and working towards agreed targets.
